Even though no distance would be too great to see the monumental attractions of Trier’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, savour a fruity, fresh Slate Riesling, enjoy a relaxed cruise on the Moselle, or indulge in a delicious helping of Kappes Teerdich (mashed potatoes with sauerkraut), Trier offers all of this without having to travel too far. Because Trier is a compact city, where pleasure and culture are usually only a stone’s throw away. And if you do want to head to the surrounding lookouts or regional attractions, the buses and trains are a great way to get around even within the city.
