Stretching approx. 1.6 kilometres, you’ll not only be provided with loads of information on the grape varieties grown and the Devonian slate that so characterises the Moselle; you’ll also learn a lot about vineyard work, the various types of wineries and growing methods, how grapes are harvested, and how wine is matured. The path is free of charge, as are the spectacular views of the vines, the Olewig Valley, and downtown Trier. But you should also give tasting a go: After the approx. one-hour walk, make an official detour to one of the Olewig wine taverns and put your knowledge into practice.

PSSSST! THE INSIDER TIP:
You don’t have to explore the Weinkulturpfad on your own. We’ll be glad to organise a tour for you with a true-blue Olewig winegrower, who will be more than happy to provide first-hand information. He’ll then invite you to sample his expertly matured drop, with other refreshments also served.
